Stargazing Tour Pricing & Reservations

Reservations must be booked and paid for in advance. We are open for reservations and questions from 9:00am to 3:00pm Mountain time. If we do not answer the phone when you call, please leave a message with your phone number and we will return your call as soon as possible.

Same-day reservations may be possible if made before noon. You must phone the observatory to make same-day reservations as we do not check email throughout the day.

After your reservation is confirmed, we will provide you with detailed driving directions to the Double Star Observatory.

We are open for star tours throughout the year on days when the light of the Moon does not adversely affect stargazing. Visit our Events Calendar for the optimum stargazing dates. Start times of the stargazing tour will vary, based on the start of darkness.

Adults and Children 6 years and older: $25 Small children (under 6 years): Must be closely supervised by a parent or guardian to ensure a satisfying and safe experience for all our visitors. FREE

The Double Star Observatory accepts credit cards or checks. To receive a refund, cancellations must be made 48 hours prior to the start of the tour. Full refunds are given for tours that are cancelled due to inclement weather.

If you are interested in arranging a private tour for a group or celebratory event, please call to reserve your desired date as soon as possible.

For Your Stargazing Tour

• Please arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.
• Dress warmly – Colorado evenings can be quite cool.
• Wear comfortable, close-toed shoes.
• Coffee, hot chocolate, and cookies will be provided.
• Restroom facilities are available.
• Due to fire danger, smoking is not allowed on the property.
